A Story of Financial Independence

I’m goin on a hiatus from writing blog articles. I don’t know for how long. Let’s jam!

Why am I going on Hiatus? Well, when I was doing a recent weekly retrospective I noticed that I had many weeks in a row where I had kept skipping my daily writing routine. Why was I skipping? Because I have higher priorities in life right now that have developed in the past year, such as starting a family. Family is far higher priority than hobby blogging. As a completionist and Achiever, I don’t like to stop doing things, and I have a tendency to keep doing things long past where I should have stopped. This can grow into feelings of resentment and beating myself when my performance on something keeps slipping.

After many years, therapy, and many books, I have become better at letting go of things. It’s been a journey over many years, and the lessons learned were worth it! I now realize that not everything needs to get done. Productivity is not about getting more things done. Instead, Productivity is about “Right thing at the Right Time.”

I have determined that my continued blogging is a nice hobby, but it consumes a substantial amount of daily bandwidth to write. Therefore, I have decided that now is not the right time to keep pushing on this side hobby. I will let it go and take a break from writing, and remove my daily reminder rituals and grant myself grace and understanding knowing that this is not my top priority, at least for now.

Perhaps I will return. Perhaps not. I don’t know what the future holds, and that’s okay. I wish you will on your own growth journey, and all the best.

Bon Voyage!
